National Panpipe Festival.

A BRIEF HISTORY.
From 1998 to 2003, there was a civil war (ethnic Tension) that rocked the Pacific Island nation of Solomon Islands. From mid-2003 there was an alliance of thousands of police, Military and civilian personnel from 15 members of South Pacific Forums Countries including Australia and New Zealand arrived in the Solomon Islands with the mandate to restore law and order, revitalize the economy and to support the re contraction of critical national institutions in the country. After 14 years of assisting and operating in the Solomon Islands the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI) will finally leave the country at end of June 2017.
WHAT?
Traditional Welcome and Thanksgiving Ceremony and it refers to as the Chiefs traditional welcome ceremony. This was because it will involve traditional chiefs and landowners who will welcome RAMSI dignitaries to our country.
The National Panpipe festival will be hold as a traditionally farewell celebration to acknowledge the work and mark the departure of RAMSI from the Solomon Islands.
1. ATTRACTIONS
Custom welcome and Thanksgiving:
This will include chiefs’ traditional welcome. This will involve paramount chiefs and chiefs from the nine provinces of Solomon Islands. The Chiefly traditional welcome are hold with utmost revere in many societies in the Solomon Islands. This type of welcome is only reserve for very important and respected people in the traditional Solomon Islands societies and cultures. And in many societies in the Solomon Islands an ordinary man cannot be welcome with such high gratitude and respect.

• Panpipes
  The main Attraction of this festival will be the performances of provincial panpipe groups. From the Eastern part of the Solomon Islands to the Western Solomon Islands and from the Northern to the Southern region of the country, Panpipe groups will perform live during that week of Panpipe festival. This will surely a week of traditional and cultural festival is the Solomon Islands capital city but it will surely purposefully to farewell RAMSI after all the Beautiful and good things that they have done for the Solomon Islands.
• Exchanges of souvenir
  There will also Exchanges of Souvenir. During the week of celebration there will be exchanges souvenir from those two parties. There will be surely gifts of Traditional money Red Money the traditional one of the highly and respected used traditional money in the Solomon Islands.
• Speeches
  Speeches will be given by both parties that is Solomon Islands Government (SIG) and from RAMSI dignitaries.
  The Hosting of the panpipe festival will also to showcase some unique panpipe music and sounds that were never heard or seen before. This will surely a definite collaborations of unique cultural flavour to the welcome ceremony And a grand sending off, a farewell only reserved for Chiefs and Elders in the many societies in the Solomon Islands and truly RAMSI deserves such affirmation for all the good deeds they have done for the Solomon islands.

2.  RAMSI farewell service 25th June 2017 Maranata Hall
Will be attend by All Solomon Islands government dignitaries and the opposition and the independent group, RAMSI dignitaries. And the public who are interested to attend this service.
Transports will be available for the public. There are pickup points that are already arrange as followed. All residents from white river Rove and Lengkiki area bus transport will be picking up from those areas to Central market. For all resident from Kolarigde, Naha and Tuvaru ares bus will transport to central market, Central market will be the Main pickup point for transportation to Maranata,
